about
Hilbert's is primarily a personal utility for tracking and exploring reading, with social features available but not prominent.
Books are not indexed by ISBN; instead they are user-submitted titles. In this sense, a book's page better corresponds to "the idea of a book" rather than an actual printing.
A set of editing tools for both moderators and users can be used to resolve duplicates or editions into a single page / namespace.
If for example, some Hilbert's users decided that Crime and Punishment was better known as "The Dostoevsky Book", it could be listed as that. The assumption however is that on aggregate, the namespace will end up being resolved to "Crime and Punishment".
